I'm Jimmy Mak, the head writer and a lead performer for Shadowbox Live.

Shadowbox Live is a non-profit 501C3 performance troupe that self-produces a wide range of shows, as well as runs the company on a day-to-day basis. The top managers of the company make up the Board of Trustees and operate as the primary creators, producers, and performers for the shows.

In addition to writing many of the comedy sketches for Shadowbox Live, I have written numerous one-act plays and monologues (both serious and comedic) that have gone on to be produced by other companies from Columbus to Hong Kong. I have penned the book to two Shadowbox Live original musicals, "Tabloid" and "Back to the Garden: a Musical Journey through the Woodstock Festival," which is currently in its second year of production.
