James Franco is an actor, filmmaker, and academic luminary from Palo Alto, CA. After first appearing in Judd Apatow & Paul Feig’s Freaks and Geeks, then as James Dean in the TV biopic, he landed the role of Harry Osborn in the blockbuster Spider-Man film franchise. He has appeared on the television shows General Hospital, 30 Rock, Comedy Central Roast, and SNL, and starred in the films Pineapple Express, Milk, 127 Hours, Spring Breakers, This Is The End, and The Interview. In 2014 he appeared in the Broadway production of Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men. When he’s not working you might find him teaching college courses on screenwriting or filmmaking at NYU, USC or UCLA. Additionally, he writes fiction and poetry, hosts award shows, advocates for humanitarian issues including LGBT rights, and is the older brother of actor Dave Franco. What a dreamboat!
