What if you don't believe in the bible? What if your religion or belief has nothing against gay marriage? What then? I'll tell you what, this entire problem goes away. Our nation was built on a separation of church and state, thus when you step into the voting booth you should leave your religion at the door and open your mind. Think of others rather than just yourself (which, if you truly did you would realize gay marriage won't affect you in any way). Unfortunately, most religious individuals like yourself are far too close-minded and ignorant to do this.

Why is it that celebrities feel that their status as a celebrity actually makes their viewpoints superior to that of the majority who voted?
I am sorry but you guys need to think beyond the absurd Hate idea! Prop 8 has nothing to do with hate. It has to do with leaving marriage alone and not perverting it. I love my gay friends. I do not hate them. I just don't want the thousand year old institution of marriage to be suddenly changed according to something that is blatantly wrong and clearly goes against everything that Marriage has stood for, for thousands of years. While, I love them as people, I don't agree with what they believe is morally acceptable. The statements quoted in this video about what is a sin and not a sin is completely taken out of context and it is actually the other side that is picking and choosing what they want to hear, ignoring the Truths in the Bible. I question whether any of these Celebs quoting the Bible actually study the Bible on a regular basis. Tolerance. What next? Shall we tolerate all sin? My buddy really needs a t.v. He is poor and on welfare. He should steal that t.v. he needs so badly. What? You don't agree? You are not tolerant! You hate my poor buddy who has no t.v.! Yes, the Bible states what sin is. Are many of us guilty of these same sins. Yes!..ie...being a drunkard, a thief, a liar, a cheater, a slanderer, sexually immoral, adulterer, homosexual offenders...
But that doesn't mean it is okay to continue doing them!!
these are all in the Bible together (see below reference)...but they are clearly meant to instruct what NOT to do...speaking to be cleaned of this...to not go on doing this. How can you refute this?

There are references throughout the Bible. Is this a chance you want to take? Ignore it. That is your choice. But let those who don't tolerate sin, keep the sanctity of their marriage, so it is not perverted. Do I sin, of course! We all are sinners. But I know right from wrong and if I care less about my sin and just continue living my happy sinful life, I will suffer the consequences. I try to stand up for what is right, continually try to better myself and study the Truth in the Bible, which if you actually devoted yourself to studying your eyes would be open to the truth in it.
But the fact is, people only hear what they want to hear, so they don't bother searching in the one Book that has stood the test of time and been around for thousands of years. The word of God. They avoid it, to further their own tolerant agenda of what THEY feel is right or not right.
You are taking a grave chance! You are so far off and misguided and I would only pray that some of you would open your heart and see the truth that is hidden due to your own pride and wants, shoving off God's truth. It is dangerous territory.
The more you believe a lie, the further you are from the Truth.
Isn't it odd that everything Christian is being attacked. Not muslim, not buddhism. But think about this...Christianity is the one religion based on love. It is not hate the gays! It is that Jesus loves all and would want that all would come to him. But so many are avoiding him out of the guilt they feel caused by their own sin and therefore pride to hear only what you want to hear. And the rally cry right now is that their sin is now acceptable! When did this happen? How rapidly things have changed!
Why is Christmas called Christmas? CHRISTmas. To celebrate Jesus' birthday! The biggest holiday of the year revolves around Jesus. No wonder it is being attacked! People trying to do away with the words Merry Christmas! Why is our entire calendar system based on Jesus' birth! BC = Before Christ! But even this is being attacked. Secular archeologists trying to change it to BCE: Before Common Era!
Why do you think all these things are occuring? Does it ever occur to anyone that there is seriously a battle going on?
And gay marriage is a tool used to further lead our civilization away from the truth found in the Bible.
Again, it is NOT hate! I have friends who I love who are gay. But if we don't stand up for what we know is right, then we will have to give account for that some day when we stand before our maker.
Is it worth it?
And CELEBRITIES, TAKE NOTE! You will be held to a much higher level of responsibility for leading people into a lie!
Life is short. It is not about our own happiness here on earth. Start studying the only thing on earth that we can truly trust...the Bible. If you are unclear on this, then start reading.
For those of you quoting the Bible on a whim, you must sure study the Bible hard every day to come to that kind of conclusion.
I will not go down without a fight for the cause of good. And obviously, due to the Prop being passed, I am NOT the only one!
But do not call it hate! Call it love for my marriage and love for my fellow man. Marriage is an institution created for One Man and One Woman. And I say all of this out of love in the hopes to benefit both gays and non gays and give them a different perspective and challenge them in their idea of what Prop 8 actually is. If you believe it is Hate, you are sincerely misguided. End of story.
