We ask the audience for a piece of writing to start. We’ve used a diary, a to do list, a book, the book of mormon, a beer magazine, play program, cue card, torn piece of news paper, a text message and more.
A slice of text is randomly selected from it we draw the theme for that night's show - Destiny, Hot Boy-Freaky Tattoo, Without, Reality vs. Appearance, Opposites. The improvisers create scenes and write monologues based on the theme. It’s really funny. Seriously.
We do an hour long show. We try to find three stories (but don’t worry about it so much). The writing goes back to the theme. The scenes jam off of it and each other. It all circles back together. Somehow this is funny. Seriously funny.
We try to act.
We try to exit scenes.
We try not to let scenes carry on too long.
We make sure to let scenes that need it breath. < less
