If you call them on it--you have the problem. Short of providing this jerk with years of therapy to work out his mommy issues, all you can do is feel pity and ignore him. If you engage him, he will continue to pull you down to his level--he gets off on this. And no, I'm not a psychoanalyst, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night...
