as retarded as it sounds, it always seems extra shocking when people (usually comedic actors) who are so happy on screen- and financially successful to boot -end up being totally depressed. i hope he gets the privacy and support he needs to pull through this.

I think it’s hugely sad. Not the suicide attempt – the fact that you consider him memorable for You, Me & Dupree. How about Tennenbaums, or Starsky & Hutch or Wedding Crashers, or any of those, rather than that dog-turd of a movie. Anyway, I hope he gets himself together soon.

Wedding Crashers is an awesome movie. That movie is untouchable, I’m hoping they are making sequel out of it.

I hope the next time he is successful. I don’t wish he were dead, but if he wants to be, I say let the man alone. I like most of his movies and he has talent with the talent :) but if he wants to die, he should be able to. Money or not, misery is misery. Pharma and booze and drugs will not help the problem. He has probably tried everything (he has the money needed) but this will catapult him to an E! Hollywood special and famous forever, and ever and ever.
