Support Kim McBride! (aka Litho.)

Yes, Kim’s vids are NOT in the general “Most Buzz” category anywhere. I would hope that if Kim was banned from that listing, FOD would have told her so and why. From what I’ve heard, they would.

I wish they would assist her with her account or help her transfer the huge amount of videos to a new account and take her fans to the new one, if such is possible.

I think you guys have not been concise and clear about exactly what is wrong. Maybe if it is explained more clearly you woud have had answers by now.

Kim is a giant part of the FOD community and we would not be the same without her. I imagine she feels very slighted with all the work she does not allowed in the “Buzz” club we all strive for.

Yes, I agree. I’m going to look into their policies and see if there is a way we can more concisely communicate with the web-masters. It is my hope they will restore her account, or at least give her the dignity of an explanation. ~~LQ

This problem has also affected SeeWhatHappens, Kim’s collab group.

When did it start with the collab group? From the start, or later on? You have to give details about exactly what happened and when.

When you guys say you have written to FOD, what address did you write to? I have been reporting spammers to them and the accounts have been closed the next day and have gotten acknowledgments from support each time. I also had reported a glitch with the “Who’s Posting” column, which they fixed. It could be that this is just another glitch. But I want to join the support of Kim & others!

during the last week I have experienced several glichs, IE.my blogs have experienced background changes, reverting to very small print and a few other small things. I have also experienced not being able to play soe vidios but this hasn’t happened with kims. I am definately a fan of kims and will help all i can…. and yes I would like to join your group… Dave

Dave McBrayer was complaining in a forum post about not getting in the buzz list. I looked 1200 videos back in Buzz an he was not there, unless I missed it.

I doubt he was banned. Sounds like a tech glitch.

Wow! You guys rock. Whether its a glitch, or whatever… I’m confident we’ll get to the bottom of this and restore Kim’s reputation! It does seem weird that SeeWhatHappens was also affected… I hope even more folks will respond. ;-) I’m going to give folk another day or so to respond (so I can also do that research into the terms and policies) and then we can decide how we want to approach this next. hmm… interesting idea. Well, if the system can be manipulated that easily against those who don’t deserve it, it needs to be fixed! I’m all for keeping spammers in check… but this is just ridiculous. ~~LQ

A SUPPORT KIM UPDATE: Hey Folks! THANKS for your awesome support of Kim. It’s meant a lot to all of us.

At this point, we’re hanging back for a little bit… there is a possibility that FOD MIGHT be trying to work this out with KIM… we don’t honestly know yet. We’ll keep you updated as things develop…

So for now… let’s keep showing our support for Kim… and we’ll keep you all updated.

Even as we wait… if you’re so inclined… we can still show our support for Kim by commenting on her site (Litho) and visiting and viewing her new temp. site (punkweb)… The more fan support we can show… the better…

Again, I’m blown away by the incredible awesomeness of the FOD community… You guys ROCK.

As of today Punkweb has joined the ranks of a Kim related group account that has been kabashed.

HEY! This is Liz, I work at the nerd branch of FOD. Number one I apologize for the silence on this issue—everyone has been out lately for vacations, the head of support had a baby and is out on paternity leave, basically we are just getting settled back into the normal routine. (We are a really small team.) We are experimenting with User Picks/Buzz to make it harder to game. It is possible we screwed up people’s ability to make it into that section, OR the new requirements might be too stringent. The engineers are checking it out!

This morning FOD apologized to Kim McBride, and is looking into what has happened to her account.

Thanks to all of you awesome folks for coming together to support Kim… we now know what happened…

…And thanks to LIZ… for posting here and letting us know what’s up that and FOD is working on resolving the problem… ;-)
