Celebrity Picks

It’d be nice if the celebrity picks didn’t always include their other celebrity friends, such as the latest update.

I mean, it’s cool and all. But everybody sees those videos anyway because they’re featured on the front page.

I figured the point of celebrity picks was having the important people come down from Mount Olympus and recognize us “normies” for being funny. :-)

I totally agree. I usually like the celebrity picks, but I had already seen every single one of the videos that they picked.

I was under the assumption that the celebrity picks were videos that were funny but unknown. Lately, it seems they all just pick a featured video from the previous week.

But, hey, it’s your website. You do what you think is right.

Because Adam, Chris and Will are pretty busy we only update celeb picks about once a month. People have complained that we don’t do it enough, but that is as much time as they have.

This past time the celeb picks were indeed from people that these guys know. But that is not usually the case:

13 of Will’s 19 picks are from people he doesn’t know. 15 of Adam’s 20 picks are from people he doesn’t know. 15 of Chris’ picks are from people he doesn’t know.

Let me know if you have other complaints!

Thanks for the response Amy! Personally, I don’t care how frequently the picks get updated. But it seems rather pointless if you’re just highlighting videos that have already been featured. My two cents!

i think it’s cool for the celebrity picks to include videos that have been featured (with their friends or not). not everyone visits the site everyday (as much as we tell them they should) so something that you saw, someone else didn’t. the picks are a good place to keep good videos. even if some of us have seen them already.

thanks for looking out for the little guys – a lot of the little guys have been staff picks, so that’s cool for them and i guess means we look out for them too.

Here is how I see it:

Let them pick whatever they want, and then when they actually pick a noncelebrity friend, it is a HUGE honor and a BIG deal.

That’s the way I see it. Let them be honest about it, and if they choose a non celeb friend, you can have the satisfaction of knowing you are THE SHIT!

I think they should favorite my video “The Badge”. It’s a good cop parody.
