nice changes- looks like the logo is bigger, navigation is simplified and has a better font. that’s also cool little badges let you know the rankings of the videos on the homepage. good stuff.

i also like the handy dandy selct all and delete on the in and sent box for mail.

No more “hot right now” or whatever it was called?

it’s coming back. the new version of it was causing lots of problems on PCs so we have to wait to put it in.

I liked the “Hot Right Now” videos section, but evidently, that’s coming back soon. I like the caption contest. Not sure what to make of the FOD wire, since The Onion has pretty much mastered the funny news article. It seems bloggish, but you already have a blog.

Oh, and I love the new option of adding images to your member profile’s background….unless it’s not new and I’ve been blind.

I like everything, more mods on the general boards—(Yes, I will Volunteer), and I think you do a wonderful job with responding to all questions at all times. I like the new features, especially the caption thingy, is brilliant. You are loved.

I have to admit, I am not a fan of the new site design. The Red Carpet Club is just so pretentious. Thanks for getting rid of Hot Right Now. You have pretty much buried all the artists outside the Hollywood Country Club. At least with ‘Hot Right Now’ outsiders had a chance to reach the front page, now there is NO chance at all. The front page has been a bore for a while now and now it can only get more boring.

I’d really dig it if you guys could use the FOD Wire to pick out User submitted funny essays, short stories, satirical news articles, etc. Granted, it’d have to be picked by FOD Staff and not just post allow everything submitted to be postedor else you’d just be getting a barrage of frontpage articles with titles like “feces vagina” and “mexicans lol.” There aren’t a lot of websites that takes user-submitted funny written works out there, and adding that to FOD could be of great benefit.

interesting idea – this is something we’ll toy with… we’d have to figure out how it would work which may take time on our end.

as we said above, hot right now will be back. better and stronger. but it’s breaking PCs today so that’s no good.

the red carpet club is a place to feature our celebrity videos. they are the ones that get the most views and drive traffic to the site making it a place for users to upload their content. we feature user videos everyday and we’re always searching the site for new stuff. there is a LOT! which is awesome.

Anyway, I am not into slamming stuff, but I do llike the idea that writers might possibly get recognition. I am a writer, that is what I do. I can’t deliiver lines like peeps with really deep voices but I can do dialogue and you guys can make it real. I can make different voices and record them, and can make funny faces. I tknow screen direction, but people throw that stuff out anyway (Yeah, I know you do). This is the future of comedy, and we need it. Duh.

I look foward to Hot Right Now coming back. I like the new design. I hope to have my videos featured on HRN someday so I am glad its not gone for good. Keep up the good work guys.

You guys are being ridiculous. Hot Right Now is being reworked for technical shit, it’s not gone. Amy and the FOD Team have stated that multiple times, so untwist your panties. FOD is 1 year old. They’re a start up with a lot of money on the line and like any other business, need to make money and profit. While User-Submitted content is clearly an essential part of the fun community here, the real money comes in from people who are just browsing the web and see a video featuring someone more wealthy/famous/sexually competent than the average person. It’s a fact. Regardless of talent, some guy from Bumfuck, Idaho who logs onto his 56k modem and sees the option between a user submitted film or a video featuring OJ Simpson, Mariah Carey, and a dildo (played by Gary Busey) is far more likely to attract new viewers. I can guarantee a majority of you found this website from “The Landlord.” I did! From there, i found awesome user submitted content and I’m considering creating some of my own soon.
