We are For A Good Time, Vote!

We aim to use our collective talents, passion, and drive to inspire our peers to vote through clever social media campaigns and tongue-in-cheek videos.

Julie Dietz hails from the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Theater and Spanish in the spring of 2011 from Skidmore College which is located in Saratoga Springs, NY. Julie currently works as an actor in Los Angeles, California. Following in her mother and grandmother’s footsteps she has been a strong advocate for supporting and protecting the rights of all people regardless of sexual orientation or gender.

Sarah Latin-Kasper was born and raised in America’s Dairyland, before venturing to Chicago, IL where she received her BFA in Acting from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. The Windy City is also where Sarah got her start in comedy at iO Chicago. She believes, as artists, it is our duty to inform, empower and excite our community toward positive acts of social change.

Mary Ellen Schneider is originally from Southern California, and is a recent graduate of the Columbia University Graduate Acting program in New York City. She is proud to be an actor, teacher and activist practicing her talents on both coasts. She will never forget the way New York City enlivened around her on election day in 2008 as Barack Obama won. Hayley Brown was born in California, raised in Athens, GA, and returned to sunny SoCal to attend USC, graduating in 2011 with a B.A. in Theatre and a minor in Film. She now works as an actor in L.A.; so she also works a minimum wage food service job and babysits. Hayley recently passed the Groundlings Basic level and is hoping to afford Intermediate very soon. She feels incredibly lucky to have found kindred spirits in the rest of For A Good Time, Vote, and looks forward to continuing to be challenged and inspired by these fine ladies.

We met this summer working for a theatre company in Los Angeles, and very quickly realized our similar passions for art, politics, and inspiring our generation to have faith in our collective power to change our nation for the better.

What the hell are you doing and WHY?

As a group of this generation, we realized that there is a lack of interest in voting. And furthermore, there is a lack of engaging and relatable media that addresses this void. We saw this as an incredible opportunity. We have created videos using humor, satire and yes, sex, with the goal of generating excitement about voting.

For A Good Time, Vote has written eight #IHoldOutForVoters sketches with the lesson that exercising your vote is the most attractive quality a person can have.
