as we said above, hot right now will be back. better and stronger. but it’s breaking PCs today so that’s no good.

the red carpet club is a place to feature our celebrity videos. they are the ones that get the most views and drive traffic to the site making it a place for users to upload their content. we feature user videos everyday and we’re always searching the site for new stuff. there is a LOT! which is awesome.

You have pretty much buried all the artists outside the Hollywood Country Club. At least with ‘Hot Right Now’ outsiders had a chance to reach the front page, now there is NO chance at all. Your video should be at least 464×348 pixels to make sure we don’t have to stretch it to fit our player (shrinking down is no problem). The aspect ratio should be 4:3 or 16:9. Finally, 30fps is best, and if you want your video to look as good as possible, don’t use the H.264 codec (the newest Quicktime Standard) because it compresses it too much. Try less compression with the Mpeg-4 codec and the QuickTime container format.

Hey Everybody – We just started a channel on Verizon’s VCAST service so that videos you upload onto Funnyordie.com can be viewed on Verizon phones. Yay! http://www.funnyordie.com/promos/verizon

We’ve already alerted some of you that your videos will be on the channel, but we want more! We do our best to watch tons of your videos, but we’re sure there are more that should be on the channel. The catch – it’s gotta be clean. No curse words, drug references, or other seedy behavior that’s not appropriate for the whole family. If you’ve got a video that’s funny and G rated, post a link here and we’ll vet it out for inclusion on Verizon. It’s already generating thousands of extra views for videos that are included. Great exposure for your stuff!

in order to set up a group, you have to be a a group – in the “edit profile” section, you can be male/female/or group. choose group and then save. when you get back to your profile page there will be a link that says ‘populate group”. then you can invite people to join your... more >

in order to set up a group, you have to be a a group – in the “edit profile” section, you can be male/female/or group. choose group and then save. when you get back to your profile page there will be a link that says ‘populate group”. then you can invite people to join your group. they have to accept the invitation in order to be a part of it.

once they accept, a link to their profile will show up on your page as a member. and your profile will show up on their page as a group they are a part of.

we started those mostly for people who have a sketch group profile on here and then want to show each individual as a member of the sketch group. but seems like they are taking off in other ways as well.

hope that makes sense. of course i was talking about “groups” not “goups” like the topic header. “goups” are pretty vulgar and i’d rather not get into it.
