The uncensored version. A "safe for work" version is here: http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/5ca76b6e56 Dedicated to those too squeamish to discuss an incident related to the temperament and character of a guy who'd like to be President. McCain's freaky-mean '92 outburst is a well-sourced story found in Cliff Schecter's book "The Real McCain." Due to the particularly profane nature of the offense it would probably be useless to wait for the press to give it the full-on, endlessly repeating, 24-7 Reverend Wright treatment. So we'd love to help. < less

Geraldine Ferraro—usually a class act—made recent statements that seem to establish a pattern: the Clinton campaign using surrogates to invoke and inject race in this campaign. They play dirty. While groups such as factcheck.org have made compelling arguments against the likelihood the Clinton camp intentionally altered Obama's image...it's an odd argument that assumes anything in campaign commercials happens by accident. Check out the debate, judge for yourself. The title of the video refers to George Lakoff's "Don't Think Of An Elephant," a remarkable book that describes how linguistic trickery works in politics. Check it out if you like things that are good. Otherwise, pass. < less

If you want to attack an unstoppable, relentless force--and are unafraid of assuming the voice of a "legion" of people when you are clearly just another doofus with broadband--this whole "manifesto delivered by Speak N' Spell to spooky techno music" genre appears to be all the rage. We caved immediately to its creepy, earnest aesthetic. Election 08 on Youtube is a new collective of Los Angeles-based comics, writers, and musicians. Our credits include MTV, ABC, NBC, The Daily Show, The Second City, Reno 911, Current TV, and Showbiz Show With David Spade. Expect, and subscribe to, us. http://www.youtube.com/Election08 < less

Democrats of Michigan, on January 15th you have a unique and wonderful opportunity to screw over the Republican Party. For more on why voting for Romney in your primary--however counterintuitive it may be to vote for that flip-flopping, say-anything-to-get-elected, neocon-of-convenience hack--isn't such a crazy idea, check out: http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/200... Lest there be any confusion, showing Romney's old stances as a less-than-diehard conservative in Massachusetts is intended to emphasize his ubercynical ability to shape-shift into desirable forms, not to suggest he's a somehow tolerable closet moderate who is simply pretending to be a detestable right wing nut. I don't mean to suggest he should be given the benefit of any doubt in that direction--that's by no means the reason Michigan Dems should cast their vote for him January 15th. In the rough and real world of politics, Progressives can't afford for voting to be an emotional act of personal expression. It has to be pragmatic, strategic, and effective. So, just this weird once...go Romney. Though it burns my fingers when I type it. < less
