A caravan is defined as a minimum of 15 people travelling together under the protection of a hired guard detail that is led and organized by a Caravan Master.Transports used include; pack animals, 2-wheel carts and the small and large wagons. Each two-wheel cart holds 6 Cargo Factors (CF) while the wagons contain 8 and 12 CF respectively. Each pack animal has a CF rating. Donkeys, mules and horses have 2 CF, camels and oxen have 4 CF while elephants have 8 CF.
1. 20 people using a further 20 CF for their luggage are taking a journey estimated at 10 days. They will rely on the Caravan Master for food and for transport.
Security for 20 passengers = $20.00
20 passengers travel fee= $5.00
20 CF for transport = $5.00
37 people for meals= $5.00 (Only the passengers pay)
Sub-Total= $35.00/day
2. The caravan will require:
1 Caravan Master
6 Guards
1 Cook
1 Chuck wagon (12 CF large wagon w/2 horses)
7 Horses (Master and guards)
2 Spare Horses
40 CF's of transports with teams & teamsters (minimum)
4 Carts with 1 horse (6 CF each) [ 24CF ]
4 Small wagons with 2 horses (8 CF each) [ 32 CF ]
Total = 17 caravan people + 20 passengers
3. The total, paid in advance, is $350.00.
