My friend Timbo runs a medical forum that's pretty twisted. He's a real doctor with a sick sense of humor, which is why we're best buds. Check out ASK TIMBO.

I had a dream last night that the sky was FOLDING. What the hell does that mean? Dream analysis, anyone?

Thanks for letting me blog to you this week. I had a blast sharing. FOD has become a one-stop site for all my comedy needs. In addition to my fav Ron Burgundy interviews, FOD has introduced me to David Blaine Street Magic (my wife's favorite), the High Five montages, Human Giant, Tim & Eric, Jon Lajoie, Fred Simmons, Pete & Brian, Cohen/O'Brien, Rob Lathan, and countless others. Want to give my love to Lauren, Amy, Jake, Drew, Seth & the rest of the FOD family. You guys are a classy bunch. Have a Million Dollar Strong Memorial Day weekend!
Love,
dr ken

Knocked Up was the greatest moment in my life not for the obvious reasons. My wife gave birth to Alexa & Zooey right when the film was released. She was on bedrest at the time of the premiere, and watching the movie took on a whole new meaning. I could relate to everything Ben & Allison were going through.

During the cast & crew baby photos at the end, I couldn't stop crying when I saw our photo. To this day, I tear up whenever I see it. The most surreal moment of my life lead to my greatest moment, and Knocked Up encapsulated that. Happy birthday, Alexa & Zooey! I hope you don't turn out to be assholes.

Want to give a shout out to one of my best friends Steve Byrne. We do the Kims of Comedy tour together, and he's one of the best comics working today. Here's a pic of us on the set of The Goods: The Don Ready Story, perhaps the funniest movie ever made.

Director Neal Brennan (police sketch, above) got annoyed with me because I broke so many times doing a scene with Charlie Napier (pictured, below), I actually panicked that I would never stop laughing, we'd run out of light, and the day would be ruined on account of my geisha-like giggling.

Speaking of giggling geishas, my twin daughters Alexa & Zooey turn 1 this weekend. Here's a pic with their mother.

"I always thought the genius of What's It Gonna Be was the bartender."- Matt Dwyer, the bartender
Matt was understandably upset that he wasn't a part of my What's It Gonna Be shout out blog. I'd like to take a moment to apologize. Sir Matt (as he prefers to be called) brought a lot to the table. "It's last call, but uh, I'd get out of here now" was delivered perfectly by the Meisner-trained actor. It was Sir Matt who insisted on adding the "uh" pause to provide more dramatic impact. After viewing his video below, I understand why he's so hormonal.

Fav video #2: Charles Barkley Calls Himself a Dumbass, Anchorman Style. Go fuck yourself, San Diego.

Finally, I want to give a shout out to my old boss at the hospital. Still smokin' hot. Thrive!

I received a letter from a fan who developed multiple myeloma, a type of cancer that is considered terminal. Ray Redick recently underwent a grueling stem cell transplant which has so far produced favorable results and will continue his daily chemo treatments.
As a doctor, I understand what he's going through. What moved me was that he contacted me to say he was a fan and enjoyed watching my comedy. Ray reminded me why I went into comedy. And it's not too different from medicine. Making people feel good about themselves.
I was so privileged to meet him and his lovely wife Deb 2 weeks ago in Seattle during a Kims of Comedy show, and I'm very happy to report he's doing well. We had a great time, and then after the show, we engaged in the best 3-way sex I've ever had (on the road).
I love you, Ray. You're the best.

I was the guest monologist at the UCB Theater ASSSSCAT show Saturday night in LA and had an AMAZING time. I was nervous because you have to deliver monologues based on a one word suggestion from the audience, and I had never done anything like that before. I couldn't base it on my standup; it would have been too jokey and not give the improvisers anything to work with. Doing the show reminded me that in comedy when in doubt, be honest.

I was revealing aspects of my personality that I'm not proud of; my temper, my germophobia, my embarrassingly detailed knowledge of pro wrestling. I felt like that weeping wrestling fan. And to watch these brilliant improvisers perform my life in front of my eyes was surreal. It was like watching your life, but much funnier. At one point I was talking about how important it is to live your life in the moment and not dwell on the past or obsess about the future, and I received the most honest applause I've ever experienced in my life. It was like the best group therapy session ever. I highly recommend everyone go to an ASSSSCAT show at least once in their lives, they will be richer for the experience.

Oh, and FOD's own Owen Burke was one of the improvisers, and he did an impression of a retarded HMO doctor that was spot on, definitely a highlight of the show. Nailed it.

I am forever grateful to FOD for the love they gave to What's It Gonna Be. Mike O'Connell & I are still shocked that it got the exposure it did. It just illustrates how viral videos are an amazing showcase tool for the industry and can really further your career. I want to give a shout out to our friend Clay Allen for directing the video. Mike O is the musical genius, I'm the Asian hack in a silver suit, but it was Clay's idea to do the video in a single take. We did at least 15 takes, with Mike O getting progressively more drunk on his generic gin. He's so method. BTW, we're presently in the studio recording songs for the Million Dollar Strong album which if all goes well, will be the soundtrack to a film based on our characters. And if you enjoyed What's It Gonna be, then you'll love I'm Gonna Fuck That Perm Straight.
