Clarington Shpoo's Blog: Polka Dick Three - Dickcycle

How many more of these can I make?  Hundreds.  It's going to be harder and harder to find inventive ways of inserting the "...Polka and be sad..." catch phrase into the narrative, though.  I consider it a challenge.  Of course, after a while, the joke becomes the joke, in which case I don't have to be creative about it anymore; in fact, the more heavy-handed the application the better.  Eventually, the entire video will simply be Leonard Nimoy saying "You can't polka and be sad..." over and over and over again, perhaps surrounded by a kaleidoscope of terrified co-star faces.  At that point I will declare a sad ending to the series and move on to something else, perhaps more of those 1940s pro-meat musicals.

BTW for anyone who cares:  The music for "Polka Dick" is a heavily edited version of "The Polka Polka " by Mojo Nixon and Skid Roper from the 1987 album "Bo-Day-Shus ".  It was the only polka song I actually owned.
