: It Paid Off
Okay, As some of you may or may not know out here in the wonderful land of Morons- I mean Mormons there is a state wide program called ROTC. Its a very good program, trains like the army, dresses like em' too. But I, who has been in this program for almost a year now, was recently told by Ltc. that I was promoted to Captain (c/cpt) of Bravo Company.
Well for one thing-WOW!!!! This is a really big deal, or at least a big deal for me. This is big like Mo'Nicque off of 'Phat Girls ' And I don't know what to say. But . . . What is there to say? Do I accept this offer and use it to my advantage or do I give it to someone who may or may not be better at it.
But what ever I decide to do I've recently had a lot more on my mind. Take today for example, At my high school there was Penthalon Competition between my high school's ROTC Penthalon team and other schools from around the state. This was a pretty big deal. There was people dressed in ACU's everywhere. Some wearing drill sergeant hats, others wearing garrison caps lots of people carrying rifles and throwing em' yeah ya know Color guard -that kinda stuff.
But as I sat there and watch my fellow leadership and subordinates it-
made me wonder . . .
it made me think . . .
Maybe I should the Army.
Yeah the Army!!
Why not!!???
I can do it.
I've been doing ROTC (which is nothing like the reall army) and its not so bad. . .
So hmmm . . .
Now I come across an even greater question that exceeds the limit of " Should I or Should I not be captain" but whether or not I should join the Army . . . .

Piff you should do it! College is for math geeks and fat girls. Go learn how to blow things..uhh up..better and get some exposure to the world. I would love to see you as the cover girl on the next " Girls gone Gitmo" calendar.
very good to hear from you! i'm glad that you are doing well in the land of morons..i mean mormons. you'll do well what ever you choose!
Just stay away from anywhere that's dangerous- including the mess hall.
You'd be an outstanding soldier, I only have one comment and thats that if you get a degree you go in as an officer and the officer's world is way nicer than the inlisted world. Just some FYI. But do whatever you want. You'll have every soldier in your company drooling.
