Tom O'Brien's Blog: WENSDAY

This concerns the day of the week between Tuesday and Thursday, formerly known as "WEDNESDAY".

It's pronounced "WENSDAY".

From this point forward spell it "WENSDAY".

That's all there is to it.

Thanks for your help.

My next crusade is dealing with "FEBRUARY".   As you well know, the first "R" is useless but I have more research to do before declaring anything.

I have a similar beef. Any W word with an H. Do I have to pronounce the H? Like Whiskey? Should i be saying PHWISKEY? Ya know?

Thank you for addressing this important issue. Good luck on the February thing, though. I wouldn’t touch that one with a ten-foot pole.

Can you get to the Microsoft folks so spell check is aware of this new addition?

I’m in.

I’ve been noticing you spelling Wednesday like Wensday for quit awhile. I thought you caught a Jim McPartland bug. Okay, I’ll join your revolution.
