You know, I didn’t find this to be particularly homophobic—more just deriving humor from the latent awkwardness from people waking up and realizing that they lost their inhibitions and did something the previous night that it outside of their comfort zone.

That’s something relatable and here it feels properly exaggerated to comic effect.

I guess you COULD see it as homophobic if you WANTED to. But, to me, the waking up next to someone of your own gender thing finds it’s comedy more in the “how wasted was I last night that I did something so unlike me—and then: huh, what does this mean? Maybe I’ve misunderstood myself this whole time and that’s why I’m having one night stands. Maybe this is a turning point in my life… oh my…” kind of things

I think this was definitely a funny idea.

I’m a little disappointed that it didn’t really go anywhere. There wasn’t any variation on the joke - it was just the same photoshop trick over and over again and I was hoping for there to be more to it - an additional riff back on itself. The escalation just didn’t feel outlandish or creative enough and it took a little long to get to the really ludicrous stuff.

As it stands you’ve seen everything the video has to offer after 18 seconds in. It doesn’t do anything new. I still vote funny though—just my thoughts.
