Funny Or Die's Breast Cancer Awareness Week is one small way for Funny Or Die to increase awareness of the disease and those suffering with it. We would like to thank Stand Up To Cancer and Bright Pink for letting us join in the campaign to increase breast cancer awareness.
Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), a program of the Entertainment Industry Foundation, raises funds to accelerate the pace of research focused on getting new therapies to patients quickly, and galvanizes the entertainment community to build awareness and broad public support for this new model of cancer research.
More than one of Stand Up To Cancer’s cross-discipline, multi-institutional research “Dream Teams” are working around the clock to develop and deliver improved treatments for breast cancer. However, the full scope of research supported by SU2C could improve the way we treat, diagnose or detect a wide range of other cancer types as well, including (but not limited to) lung, pancreatic, colorectal, cervical, ovarian, uterine, prostate, brain, melanoma, leukemia, and a number of difficult-to-treat pediatric cancers. Collectively, these represent more than two-thirds of all cancer deaths in the U.S. To learn more about Stand Up To Cancer, please visit www.standup2cancer.org
Bright Pink is more than just a color. It is a movement, a community, a way of life. It is the belief that being proactive is better than being reactive, that prevention is better than treatment. Educate yourself, take action, and join us in Being Bright Pink.
Bright Pink is the only national non-profit organization focusing on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women, while providing support for high-risk individuals.
Bright Pink has quickly become one of the country's fastest growing non-profit organizations, impacting and saving thousands of lives each day.
