DJ Baddmixx won the first of many DJ competitions in 1985.
1993 saw the commencement of DJ Baddmixx's mixology graduation. He won the "Chicago Mixer Search '93" competition. In 1996, he opened the original Mixxmusic Vinyl Store.
He went on to form several DJ crews, including The Mixxmobb, The Relics and The Vinylists. He also worked with these artists as a producer. This experience eventually allowed him to work with several record companies in the Chicago area and beyond.
