Yesterday on The Daily Show, Jon Stewart reported on a new study that indicates women won’t see equal pay until 2058, which is 43 years from the year that it is now. To give you an idea, that’s two sets of 21.5 years, or four decades plus three more years, or really just too long.

Naturally, news of this study called for a visit from Senior Women’s Issues Correspondent Kristen Schaal, who stopped by to talk about what’s keeping the gender pay gap alive after half a century of laws banning it, and how a simple thing like paying women the same as men will remain a fantasy even decades after flying cars and 3D printed body parts are real.
