Ricky Gervais' second HBO special airs this weekend, so we figured this was as good a time as any to count down eight of his greatest moments. Keep in mind that it's eight of the greatest. Not the eight greatest. Obviously making a definitely list is an impossible task considering everything he does is kind of the best.

So here they are, in no specific order whatsoever.

1. Seona Dancing

Okay. Full admission. -- this list may have been an excuse to post this video from Gervais' early-80s new wave band Seona Dancing. Let's just get this out of the way and enjoy for it for what it is: a real song that is in no way a parody of the Flock of Seagulls.

2. David Brent Dancing

This is some M.C. Hammer shit right here. So many classic moments to choose from in the original The Office, but for the sake of getting that beat stuck in your head for the rest of the day, here's David Brent dancing to what's supposed to be "Disco Inferno." For charity, of course.

3. Sticking it to Mel Gibson at the Emmys

All award shows should be hosted by Ricky Gervais. Fact.

4. Andy Millman vs. Sparkling Water

Like The Office, there's far too many Extras moments to choose from. And in addition to that, Gervais' character often takes a backseat to Stephen Merchant's when it comes to making the funny. That said, there's no denying that this scene is all Gervais. Well, Gervais and some carbonation.

5. Humpty Dumpty

From his previous standup special. Gervais dissects the classic fairy tale perfectly. Not only is everything here funny, but he's totally right. Children could learn a lot from this man.

6. Taking his Emmy Back from Steve Carell

At the previous year's Emmy Awards, Gervais couldn't be there to accept his award. Steve Carell acted as a proxy, accepting the award and celebrating with his friends. Nice try, Steve. Their interaction here is absolute gold.

7. There's Been a Rape Up There

Let's face it. We could've made this list all out of clips from The Office, but we thought you would appreciate a wide spectrum. Variety. Anyway, it's not "Free Love Freeway" (which you should totally watch anyway), but it's just awesome. And awkward. And amazing. And rapey.

8. David Bowie on Extras

See his pug-nosed face. Pug pug. Pug pug. Gold gold.
