The Daily Show returns from vacation with pieces on racial ineqaulity and Fox News's coverage of Ferguson, MO.

The Daily Show returned from vacation this week with a huge issue to cover: the protests and media coverage following white officer Darren Wilson’s killing of unarmed black teen Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. Stewart focuses his attention on Fox News, whose colorblind reporters insist that the incident had nothing to do with race and attack all media outlets that say otherwise. Stewart in particular criticizes the network’s spirited coverage of subjects like the “War on Christmas” yet their refusal to acknowledge the constant that is racial inequality.

Following this segment, Stewart turned it over to Senior Missouri Correspondent Michael Che, who quickly learned that there is no safe place from which to report on police brutality against unarmed black men. Everywhere he looks,Che has to double back because every city has at least one incident of an unarmed black person being shot, whether it’s at Kroger, at Walmart for buying a bb gun, or outside in his own driveway.
