When Lena Dunham launches her digital newsletter, Lenny, on September 29, she’ll do so with a full-length sit-down interview with Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. It’s the perfect marriage for both women, as it strengthens Dunham’s positioning as the “voice of a generation” and continues Clinton’s new quest to show more “humor and heart.”
In the first of two FOD-exclusive clips, Dunham drops by Clinton’s Brooklyn headquarters unannounced and soon realizes her name doesn’t have quite the caché she had hoped. Fortunately, she runs into fellow Hollywood superstar Amy Schumer, whose blockbuster movies and recent Emmy win have given her a little more power to get things done on Capitol Hill.
Of course, Dunham eventually does score an interview with the former Secretary of State, but only after telling her it was for “Lenny.” While initially upset, Clinton eventually lets her guard down and wants to know everything there is to know about this Lenny stuff. And by “Lenny” we mean Lenny Kravitz and by “stuff” we mean penis.
Be sure to catch the full interview with Hillary Clinton when it premieres on September 29 only on Lenny, a newsletter from Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner where there’s no such thing as too much information. You can sign up now at lennyletter.com or wait till the weekend if that’s more your speed.
