Youtuber svanta reduces Human League’s 1981 hit “Don’t You Want Me” to its bare essence.

We here at the Funny Or Die offices are big fans of stupid, and boy oh boy folks, have we got some brilliant stupid for you today.

Youtuber svantana has taken Human League’s 1981 hit song “Don’t You Want Me” and boiled it down its to most essential elements, i.e., the opening lyrics: “You were working as a waitress in a cocktail bar.” It’s an idea so stupid, you can’t help but be mesmerized by how well it works. Highlights include the chorus at 1:01, the female response at 1:33, as well as all of it starting at 0:00.

Of course, we know that repeating the same single lyric over and over and over again is an idea that may seem stupid to some of you, but we’d like to remind that it should, in fact, seem stupid to all of you, because it is a very stupid idea. But that’s OK, because stupid is quite often the greatest thing a thing can be.
