Extremely classy Georgia Governor Nathan Deal has decided to reissue confederate flag license plates after suspending them after the Charleston massacre this past June.

In an extremely tasteful and classy move, Georgia Governor Nathan Deal has decided to reissue specialty confederate flag license plates, just three months after suspending them in the wake of the horrific racially motivated Charleston shootings. This is the email exchange that led to that decision:

Hey License Plate Design Team,

Remember those cool “Sons Of Confederate Veterans” license plates we had a while back? What ever happened to those? They were the best! The stars! The bars! Loved em! Please get to the bottom of this. This is very important to me.

Thanks,
Governor Nathan "Let's Make A" Deal

Governor Deal,

You suspended them in the wake of the Charleston massacre back in June. It was, quite frankly, an overdue decision that we all agreed with.

Sincerely,
Dan
Head Designer

I’m a busy man. Can’t get bogged down by the little things. Tell me more about this church in Africa.

The church is in South Carolina sir. It’s historic and has one of the oldest black congregations in the south. A piece of shit white supremacist named Dylann Roof murdered nine people there a few months ago. It ignited a national conversation on race and the confederate battle flag as a symbol of hate.

Whoa whoa whoa, take it easy now...a symbol of hate? This awesome thing?

Just look at it! It's classy! It’s rad! It’s badass! Who the heck does it offend??

It was the battle flag of the confederacy, a treasonous bunch of states that declared war on the US in order to keep slavery. It’s the preferred symbol of white supremacists and racists everywhere. Dylann Roof himself flew one. Sir, most people find it offensive, African Americans in particular. I can't believe this is still up for debate.

Well, it doesn’t offend me so it must be fine. Besides, the flag has nothing to do with racism, it’s all about celebrating southern heritage. I don’t have a racist bone in my body and I love it! Ancestors of confederate soldiers should be able to display their southern pride! STARS AND BARS BABYYYY!
