Atlanta, GA- As substitute host on Tuesday's Live with
Regis and Kelly, news anchor Anderson Cooper made disparaging comments
about the cast of E! Network's Living Lohan. Recalling an episode he
had seen, Cooper said: "I cannot believe I'm wasting a minute of my
life watching these horrific people." His comments sparked a war of
words with the Lohan family, including father Michael who issued the
statement: "Anderson Cooper is an opinionated, hypocritical idiot who
should keep his opinion to himself."
Today, Cooper struck back with an announcement that CNN will embark on an epic 4-part documentary entitled Lohan In Peril to be co-hosted by Jeff Corwin, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, and Brooke Hogan.
"America needs an in-depth portrait of these horrendous people," said Cooper from CNN headquarters in Atlanta. "We need to examine how the Lohan family is affecting our global community, and potentially discover a way to prevent them from reproducing further."
The documentary will chronicle the Lohan family's rise to fame. Dr. Gupta will host segments dealing with the negative psychological consequences of watching Living Lohan, while Corwin will detail the long-term environmental destruction caused by the existence of superstar Lindsay and her sister, Ali.
"Ali is a 14-year-old girl who looks to be about 60," said Cooper. "She allegedly wants to be an actor/performer or some sort of striptease person. We need to put a stop to Ali's stardom within this decade if we wish to save future generations."
