There are so many unfair stigmas about tattooed men.
In fact, most of them can’t take a simple walk down the street without being viewed as some sort of threat.
Well despite what society tells us, not all tattooed man are bad. Having said that, a tattooed man senselessly murdered my parents in 2015.
Just because certain men have chosen to use their body as a canvas to express their artistic side, why should we judge them for it? One man in particular, Richard Sampson, was tatted up head to toe, and his ink likely told a compelling story of love and loss. And because of him, I have lost the two people I love most.

When tattooed men apply for a job, employers think they’re unprofessional. When they enter a store, most shop owners think they’re going to steal. And when one broke into my parents’ house and demanded all their money, my parents may have thought he was a criminal thug. In that one specific instance, my parents turned out to be right.
As the saying goes, you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. The same goes for people. Don’t make appearance-based judgments about tattooed men–or ANY types of people–before you get to know them. In my parents’ case, they didn’t have time to get to know their eventual murderer better, as the mere few minutes they had with him were spent begging for their lives, unsuccessfully.
I really miss them.
