It started off as just a regular fun night. Everyone was laughing, as William Hung from American Idol did his familiar dance, singing and moving along to Ricky Martin’s “She Bangs,” the song that made him a cult hero during season three of American Idol.
“He’s such a good sport,” said one of my friends. I smiled and agreed. It was really nice of William Hung from American Idol to turn his unique dance into an endearing night of entertainment for everyone.
But just as he got to his best and most memorable part, where he sings about floating like a bee and Muhammad Ali, William Hung from American Idol and I locked eyes, and he began to chase me.
He looked me dead in the eye, and, mid-dance, began sprinting as fast as he could right towards me.
Luckily my friend, who paid $750 to have William Hung from American Idol perform his popular dance, had rigged a trap door before he came, because one of the dirty little secrets of paid William Hung from American Idol performances was that he liked to chase people, and William Hung from American Idol fell right into the hole disguised as part of the rug.
He’s still there now, yelling.
After it was safe to leave, I thanked my friend and went home.
But I’ll never forget the look in William Hung from American Idol’s eyes, and I’ll always wonder what would have happened if that trap door wasn’t there.
