I am a rather keen fan of expressions and their origins or lack thereof.
Like the one in the title, I don't know about you but i'd certainly rather have a tit than a tat( a tat being a
–verb (used without object), verb (used with object), tat?ted, tat?ting.

to do, or make by, tatting.

That's not really a good trade is it?

A friend of mine uses the line when he leaves that he needs to go bust some shapes..I like the visual of this, i imagine someone cutting their way to an exit through an imaginary cacophony of squares.
isosceles triangles and decahedrons. Wow all that just to leave.

On the flipside when someone says to you they need to drop the kids off at the pool and off they walk to the bathroom to do no'2's this is a picture you don't need.

These are but 2 i know there are squillions more and I'd like to hear yours...
Just a question though has anyone ever met the person who coins phrases
who starts verbal phenomenons. I'd cut off my right arm to be that guy but that in itself might be difficult as I am right handed.

Hmmm?
