Every now and then a show comes around that is mind blowing.  For me the last mind blowing show was Lost.  That show literally made me shit in my pants in bewilderment multiple times.  But where the fuck are all the dogs in television?  Yes there was a dog in Lost but what influence did it have on the show.  None.  Television needs a show with a dog as the leading role that actually makes an impact not just some kids asshole pet.  No I'm not talking about a reboot of Lassie.  I'm talking about a show that could change everything for NBC.  I'm talking about Law and Order (Doggie Style). No it isn't the name of a porno.
For the past couple years NBC without a doubt has been declining in the eyes of critics of network television.  So why not take a chance with Law and Order (Doggie Style)?
The plot would be simple it would follow a German shepherd in a K-9 unit for the NYPD.  But wheres the drama you may ask?  The drama would kick in right away when a Jewish cop finds out he is the master of the German shepherd named Adolph.  The two would have to fight the past tension between the Germans and the Jews and work as one to protect the people of New York.
But every drama needs a romance doesn't it?  No problem Adolph immediately falls for a narcotics golden retriever named Blondie the first episode.  But what Adolph doesn't know is that Blondie will be put up for adoption the second episode and for the rest of the season Adolph will search for her after she is adopted.
But how will the dialogue work between the dogs that will drive the plot?  There are two options to this.  Voice acting or subtitles.  I personally believe subtitles would be the way to go but who knows.
This show could be the next big thing and has huge potential and I hope NBC could consider it. On the johnnyhopkinsproductions profile page there is a fake trailer for the show that could give people an idea of this shows potential.  Please comment to add your ideas to the show or remark upon the idea for the show.
