The Miami Heat silenced critics last night with their first ever NBA championship. Dwayne Wade says, "Hey, I won one six years ago, remember?"
This win couldn't have come at a better time for the Heat who have recently come under criticism as "The team that will undoubtedly win the NBA championship."
LeBron, at an emotional press conference, had this to say, "I think it's a testament to my abilities that I was able to win this trophy while being burdened with overcoming the play of Mario Chalmers.
When I was drafted number one overall straight out of high school, nobody thought I was any good. When I won rookie of the year playing with my left hand, nobody gave me a chance. When I won my third MVP title in four years, everybody said that I might as well retire. It feels good to prove my critics wrong."
He added, "I'd like to thank the city of Cleveland for being just an awful place to live. I wouldn't have come this far without that push." Kevin Durant responded to the loss by saying, "I don't know what you people want me to do... that guy is huge."
LeBron ended his press conference by shouting "How's the weather, Cleveland?" before grabbing his trophy and taking his talents to the locker room.
