With all the money I was making off this blog I was able to afford some new wheels for me and my gal as well as a brand new vanity plate.
Turns out, that in the USA there are about 10 million vanity plates now, which has been quite the revenue source for State coffers.
One of the most infamousplates was purchased in California about 20 years ago. It was 3M TA3. Seemed innocent enough, but when a CHP trooper caught hold of it in his rear view mirror, he could see that it spelled EAT ME - backwards. Sadly, the plate was banned.
Fortunately, there are new ways to buy and sell plate names (much like Internet domain names) and there are even on-line auction sites. In the spirit of capitalism, I decided to start creating plates geared towards certain folks in hope that I may make a bundle selling the plates to them some time down the road. Here's what I got so far:
If I can get $100 a pop, I'm already up $3600 smack-a-roos. If I can't sell them - well, I guess it was just an exercise in vain.
