Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go,
Oh the hell with that! This is LA. The fires weren't so delightful and the frightful weather is the rain that is washing away all the ash. Still we have much to be thankful for. OK, so maybe it took me an hour and a half to sit with other merry folks on the 101 last night, but I could play "guess what's in the trunk". That's my favorite commuting game. It's where you look at the car, study the driver and guess what they have in their trunk. And maybe Costco was out of pumpkin pies when I got there this morning. But I could throw myself into the holiday cheer by choosing a new fake tree! And tomorrow, my vegetarian daughter is making Thanksgiving dinner. I am overcome with guilt knowing that merely stuffing the turkey will cause post-traumatic stress disorder. But we can enjoy the incredible views of the lights in the Hollywood hills. So it will be holiday (ish) here. I wish anyone who spends a moment reading this, a blessed and happy holiday. And anyone who doesn't...ah, what the heck, you too.
