I had no idea there was a blog feature on here!
I'm totally going to write on this whenever I have funny thoughts that I don't mind get stolen. Or that are probably stolen in the first place.
Random thought: It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World is one of the best comedies ever made. I mean, who in their right might shoots a comedy on 70mm, super-freakin-wide aspect ratio (that's the official tech term) that's 160 minutes long (originally 191)?
Stanley Kramer of course. Don't know much about him, but I do believe this was his only comedy...
But now that I've done some research, it makes sense why I love this movie so much... it was written by William Rose who also wrote "The Russians are Coming, The Russians are Coming*" another of my all-time favorite comedies. It could be that I'm just attracted to films with repeated phrases and punctuation parks in their titles (If someone makes a movie called "Commas, Commas, Commas!" it's bound for my top three) Now that I think about it, It's a Mad^3 World would be even better if it had an exclamation point at the end. Then again, it's title IS in quotation marks (despite me not putting it in quotation marks, but I figure with proper formatting, putt a movie title in quotes when the title is in quotes already, eliminates the quotes altogether like matter and anti-matter. I apologize for any nuclear-level explosions that I've caused by doing so)
And so, if you haven't already, go and rent It's a Mad^3 World, invite some friends over, prepare to enjoy.
*I found it interesting that instinctually, I capitalized both "The"s but did not capitalize either "are." This may have some deep rooted psychological implication that could be a concern of my overall mental health, but I'm not too worried about it yet.
