My 3 and a half year old decided she absolutely had to where a pair of flannel footy Princess pajamas with a zipper that are size 2T (for those unfamiliar with kids sizing, this compares to parking a SUV in a compact car space).  So, like a good parent I figured put her in them and let her learn on her own.  No matter how many times I'm convinced this line of thinking will work, it never does.  She can't stand up straight; she's stooped like Mr. Burns from The Simpsons.  But she insists, as only a 3 year old can that they are "Fine" and "They are her favorite pajamas."  She has not worn them in over a year; I didn't even know we still had them.

A few minutes ago, she was trying to climb up in the chair with me, but couldn't bend her body enough to do it.  She's struggling to lift her leg, but can't because the pajamas are too tight.  So she tried the other leg as though that one was more likely to be successful.  It was not.  She struggled trying to get her knees up just a few inches, and lean over to pull herself up, but the pajamas were so tight she couldn't bend over even a little bit.  She looked like a normal person trying to climb up a wall.

After laughing at her determination, I finally helped her up.

Later she tried to dance like a ballerina.  She fell over and couldn't get up.  All I could do was laugh at my poor baby girl as she flopped like a fish out of water.

I keep promising to help her up after I'm done on the computer.
