Not since watching the final episode, with The Grateful Dead's "Ripple" setting the tone, as Lindsay gets on the bus and says goodbye has a television series been so effective at peering into the particular mindset of the W&X generations. The sublimely talented roots of Apatow's troupe coupled with the heart-felt honesty of Feig's vision results in their finest collaboration. Television's brightest candle since TAXI was snuffed out prematurely; Too ahead of its time. Coming from a geek and a freak those are high honors.
"If the world knocks us down, we just get up (albeit slowly sometimes), brush ourselves off, regroup and try again. We keep our sense of humor, we protect our dignity, we talk to our friends about the experience and then we start again fresh the very next day. And from this we grow and understand how the world works and eventually figure out how to find our place and our happiness. And even then, we never stop trying to make it all better." -- Paul Feig
