After a conversation with family members describing what he does for a living, a Worthington, MN, man has come to the conclusion that his job is completely useless. Nick Flores, a 31 year old department coordinator, struggled to inflate or even explain his menial responsibilities of which he gets paid $39,000 a year to do.
“I’m not your typical coordinator. I’m more of a hybrid between our sales and our marketing teams. It’s an outward facing position,” said Flores before taking a long sip of water and then reading the back of the nearest soup can.
“He really seemed like he was grasping at straws, especially when we asked him what exactly his company does,” said Nick’s cousin, Josh, a fiber optic cable installer.
According to Nick’s employer’s website, Nick works for a digital media platform “specializing in globally integrating content and advertising”- a statement which did not make sense to Nick when he applied to the job and didn’t make sense when he quoted it verbatim to his family.
“Whatever he does, it sounds important,” said Nick’s grandmother. “I just hope he’s happy.”
Sources indicate that Nick is, in fact, not happy.
