A sincerely beautiful thing about the human species is that we set goals for ourselves and as we reach them we continue to push the boundaries of what we believe we are capable of. Science, literature, philosophy, and art have all unceasingly grown due to our determination to further ourselves.

That historic pattern of cultural growth continued once again this past weekend at the Gaylord Resort and Conference Center in National Harbor, Maryland where 1,200 people participated in a mattress dominoes world record. No, it might not be the longest novel ever written but the rhythm of so many mattresses collapsing onto one another is surely music or maybe poetry or some beautiful crap like that.
