Flights all over the country are delayed and canceled today after a fire shut down a Chicago air traffic control center. Thankfully, authorities say, the fire had nothing to do with terrorism, and was merely the work of a crazy man trying to hurt himself and others.
The fire in an FAA office disrupted air traffic control for the entire city of Chicago, forcing both Midway and O’Hare airports to cancel all flights. One person who worked in the office was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation, in addition to the man who set the fire, who was apparently a disgruntled employee who tried to commit suicide.
Cool, so just a crazy dude trying to take down the transportation grid and kill people with fire. Big relief to know that ISIS had no part of this one.
