Frank Gehry is undoubtedly an architectural genius. Yet, I have to wonder how patients might react when they arrive at the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in Las Vegas. Insofar as it looks like the aftermath of a nuclear war, or a stainless steel building from "The General" reflected in a house of mirrors, I might be able to get past the exterior of the building but I don't know if I can get past the front door. The building looks like it's melting from the heat and ready to collapse. Sure, it has the same carnival feel as "The Stratosphere" or "New York, New York", and it IS Las Vegas so why not another gamble, but I am going to need some heavy duty drugs to make this look right, or not care.
