Movie Review: Killing Them Softly

I just saw this movie about 2 hours ago and since the ending(if you can call that a ending) a few questions have been in my head.
Why did the movie take place 8 years ago and not now?:
Great question. My guess is that they wanted that "great" speech at the end that Mr.Pitt gave.
What was with the ending?:
My first guess is that they ran out film and were just to lazy to buy more. But I think is that it was more of a tribute to Mr. James Gandolfini and the last episode of The Sopranos.
Speaking of James Gandolfini what happened to him?:
Well his character got arrested got busted after he got into a fight with some whore?
Oh really? Why did they not show that?:
I don't know. I think Gandolfini saw the rest of the movie and demanded to be taken out of it.
And why did the 2 scenes with James Gandolfini had him crying about his wife for 15 mins each?:
I really don't know
And that driver guy who was he? He didn't really seem to be in the mob or anything or knew how to do anything that could help and who did he work for?:
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........I wanna say........I don't know.
They didn't say?:
No. No they did not.
That seems odd:
True. You would think a movie would explain a pretty major character better.
Was he a major character? What was his name?:
I thought he was and I just looked it up. He was named Driver.
That seems like really lazy writing.:
Yo it really does.
Why did you see this?:
I thought it was cool that Tony Soprano was doing a mob movie with Brad Pitt.
Was it cool?:
Well define cool. If cool means wasting money to go see a movie made by someone who wanted to make a movie but didn't know how to end it or make a plot that made sense. Then yes it was prob the coolest movie I seen since Hugo
