I loved the movie 'Tropic Thunder'. Without a doubt, it's the funniest movie I've seen this year. (Sorry Will Ferrell, if you're reading this, but it was better than 'Step Brothers'. Also, put me in a movie, you magnificent bastard).

But what I don't get is these uptight people who are pissing blood over the fact that they feel that it pokes fun at the mentally challenged, thanks to "Simple Jack", a film that Ben Stiller's character Tugg Speedman stars in to get that easy Academy Award.

"I usually don't care when movies make fun of certain groups of people, but "retard" used in the film is possibly the worst word ever to exist. So, I don't want to see the movie personally. That word just ticks me off." -The Joker (Yahoo! Answers)

"i think its terrible. i havent seen it but ive heard theyve done this. i dont want to look at the preview when it comes on" -Dana S (Yahoo! Answers)

"I am a mother of a 12 year old autistic daughter.I do not like people making fun of mentally disabled people. There is not one person that would wish to have these disabilities. I hope you never have a child or grandchild with a mental disability." -marquita7777 (comment on Ben Stiller's page on FunnyorDie.com)

"I am asking Steven Spielberg, Stacey Snider, Ben Stiller and the entire "Tropic Thunder" team to stop showing the film, and asking movie theaters and moviegoers to shut this movie out. "Tropic Thunder" is a colossal blunder. Don't show or see "Tropic Thunder."" -Timothy Shriver ("Why 'Tropic Thunder' Shouldn't Be Seen" CNN.com)

I whole-heartedly agree...stop making fun of actors! Leave 'I Am Sam' alone!

One note: When I laugh at these comments, I'm laughing at the people who posted these comments, not at any mentally disabled person. But one can argue that these people are in fact, retarded.

BONUS: People offended by Robert Downey, Jr's portrayl of Kirk Lazarus as Sgt. Osiris.

Blackface is not funny whether it's meant to be offensive or not. So in other words, even if the stereotypes in this movie are not mean they are still stereotypes. How are we going to move ahead if we just keep pointing out things that are different about other races...whether it's eyes, hair, skin, the way people talk etc. Man just get over it! And live life as one... and be happy. -Ashleyyozi-1 (message board on imdb.com)
Cheesy-ass ultra-conservative uptight asswipes. All of them.
