In the German town of Wunsiedel, Neo-Nazis gather every year to march in commemoration of the life and death of Rudolf Hess, a deputy of Adolf Hitler. This year, however, the tables were turned when the anti-Neo-Nazi group Rights versus Rights organized the town in a fundraiser against the marchers: for every meter they marched, businesses and residents of Wunsiedel would donate $12.50 to Rights versus Rights. Every step they took raised more money for a group working in direct opposition to them, yet they continued on until 10,000 euro had been raised for Rights versus Rights. This fundraising sneak attack makes it clear that there are viable alternatives to the often violent protesting of Neo-Nazi gatherings that has occurred in the past.
