Tomorrow is the first day of class that I teach at the community college . . . “I am so excited!” ~ NOT! But I have to do it now since I already signed the papers and everything to teach.
Last week, I called the head of the department and asked how many students enrolled for my class; hoping that it’s less than eight, then it would be cancelled. I can hear him clicking on his computer. When he came back on the phone he said: “Nine students enrolled for the Saturday class. Your class starts on the 23rd.” I really tried to sound happy as I thank him for the information and hung-up.
I have been psyching myself since the day after my birthday. I just kept on telling myself that this looks good on my resume: Adjunct Faculty since Spring of 2008.
Since I cannot really back out of this, I better be really excited about it.
So, what makes a girl more excited than ever . . . you might think an erotica story read by someone with a sultry voice OR phone sex with a stud muffin . . . one might think. But nooooo! SHOPPING is! So I went shopping for a new outfit.
All I can say is that I look really cute in it!
Finally, I am home. Sitting on the couch, I found myself smiling. I am actually excited to meet my students tomorrow. I printed my student roster and try to pronounce their names. And in my head I am trying to go through my ‘to do list’ (whatever am I going to do without my list) . . . outfit . . . with matching panties and bra . . . shoes . . . alarm . . . hmmm, I have a feeling that I might have forgotten something. I rummaged through my portfolio. My syllabus are there; nine of them! . . . my pens . . . folders.
Somehow something is missing. As I was scanning through a syllabi and the course schedule:

I better stop writing and start preparing for my lecture. Wish me luck!
