Is income inequality any less depressing when it’s dressed up as a bunch of adorable cartoon animals, talking lollipops, and rainbows? Does the stagnant economic future of most of our nation feel any more palatable when it’s a pastel stagnant economic future? Let’s find out, via a short film directed by our Dear Leader Adam McKay and featuring voices by Amy Poehler, Sarah Silverman, and Maya Rudolph.

Nope, still depressing as hell. That song is stuck in our heads now too. But that’s probably a good thing. Maybe McKay and friends will manage to radicalize our nation’s preschoolers so we’ll finally have a generation who can do something about income inequality. Occupy Naptime!
