Hanna, GA- A dangerous plot was foiled after a vigilant ticket taker at Movietown Cinemas noticed a customer was allegedly going to bring a Subway six inch Italian BMT into the theatre.
16 year old Marlon Tanner told reporters that he acted quickly once he saw the sandwich. “At first, I smelled it. Then, I looked into his bag, and I saw it. I had been trained for something like this. Once I saw that it was outside food, I thought to myself ‘There is no way this guy is getting in here.’”
Tanner, in a firm voice, told the suspect that he would not be allowed into the theatre with the sandwich and refused him entry.
James County Sheriff Tom Milk praised Tanner for his heroics. “He absolutely did the right thing. We don’t need another tragedy like what happened in Colorado, when that AMC shut down after too many kids were bringing in McDonalds.”
Experts estimate that by preventing the sandwich from entering the theatre, the company saved $825- the average amount spent on concessions, per customer per film.
Tanner is expected to receive a call from the governor this evening. After being turned away, the alleged sandwich sneaker was last seen quickly eating the sandwich next to the box office while his girlfriend waited.
