"LET'S GET READY TO FUMBLE!!  IT'S NFL CHAMPIONSHIP SUNDAY!!!

Game # 2 - The NFC Championship - The Minnesota Vikings vs the New Orleans Saints!

Today at 5:30 PM Central the 12 and 4 Minnesota Vikings sail their Long Ships down the Mississippi to face the 14 and 3 New Orleans Saints in the Louisiana Superdome. This game promises to be the greatest aerial fight since the Battle of Britain with two incredible quarterbacks, the NFL's leading passer, Drew Brees versus the Legend - Brett Favre. The two are virtually an even match statistically, but you have to give the edge in experience and accomplishment to Favre. The teams are fairly matched, the spread favoring the Vikings by 3-4 points. The game may very well be decided by the defenses and turnovers; on paper the Vikings' defense has the edge, but the home field advantage the Saints will enjoy could easily counter that advantage by contributing confusion, penalties and turnovers for the Vikings. Again, we should consider some other important factors that influence the outcome, like....

THE CHEERLEADERS!!!

The Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders have so many different outfits they name them, this year's  highlight is "Violet", also affectionately referred to as "Sparkle", for it's light catching properties and the hundreds of rhinestones on each one. These are exactly the kind of beautiful girls you'd like to capture and throw over your shoulder to sail away with to your far off fjord. Now you know why the Vikings are so... Horny!  They too have their work cut out for them today; you can bet your Gris-gris that the Saints' cheerleaders will have more than their "Mojos" working, I'm telling you fo' TRUE Cher'...

"Laissez les bon temps rouler" ! Dressed in Mardi Gras black and gold, the New Orleans Saints Cheerleaders are as hot and spicy as the food in "N'awlins" . Enjoying their home field advantage and the fired up 50 to 60 thousand fans they can expect, look forward to these Belle Filles' bringing that crowd to a rolling boil like a big pot of Mudbugs. Of course, even the hottest cheerleaders need...

WILD AND CRAZY FANS!!!

The New Orleans Saints fans can thank their Mojos that not very many of the Vikings fans will make it down; they tend not to play well with others and where a Saints fan may carry a big hurricane drink or a black cat's skull, the Vikings' fans tend to carry swords and axes and very large hammers. Carrying on the cherished Viking traditions of drunken violence, pillage, and  rape, the Saints' fans would be well advised to keep a close eye on their women, and a closer one on their own END ZONE! Of course they may try to invoke the auspices of a "Higher Power"...

If you've never been to the "Big Easy" or Louisiana, for that matter, one of the things you will notice right away is that there's a Catholic Church on just about every corner, like bars in Milwaukee. The Catholic Church is HUGE in New Orleans and the "Saints" are another reflection of that dominance. When the chips are down, and the "Barbarians are at the Gate", you really can't call on any higher power; of course, in Louisiana there are -  darker alternatives...

The Saints will need all the "Hep" they can get; maybe the power of the "Dark Side" and the Voodoo that they do will "Get their Mojo Working" and give them the edge they need. There must be something to it, considering the catastrophes that New Orleans and the Saints have had to overcome.  I wouldn't rule anything out.

SO WHO DAT GOING TO WIN? IS THE VICTORY HORN GOING TO BE AN ALPENHORN OR A JAZZ TRUMPET? WILL THE MOJO BLOCK THE AXE?....

Again I wish the Underdog  Saints could pull a miracle out of their Mojo, but I'm afraid it's just not going to be in the Tarot cards The Vikings are hard to stop anytime and the roll that they're on now is just a juggernaut of death and destruction that the valiant Saints won't be able to contain. Last week they crushed the Dallas Cowboys, who in turn had smothered and burnt the Saints at the Stake a few weeks ago. It should be a great game though, I hope the Saints take a cue from the Jets and get up on em' early.

Minnesota Vikings - 35   New Orleans Saints - 24

Tell me I'm wrong Cher'....
