An upstate New York store owner was indicted today for allegedly providing financial support to the terrorist group ISIS and planning to kill US troops. According to CNN, Mufid A. Elfgeeh, 30, provided money and support to FBI informants whom he believed were jihadis hoping to join ISIS. He’s also accused of owning an illegal silencer and of plotting to kill US troops who had been to Iraq.
Elfgeeh was the owner-operator of Halal Mojo and Food Mart in Rochester, NY, which, whatever else you might say about the guy, is pretty impressive for someone who’s only 30. If only he’d focused all that go-getting energy on shmoozing in the local Chamber of Commerce instead of on jihad.
