Some of the best stuff always ends up on the cutting-room floor.

Alejandro Iñárritu’s The Revenant is one of the year’s most buzzed about movies. But like all great movies, a lot of footage didn’t make the final film. For you film buffs out there, here are 14 scenes that ended up on the cutting-room floor. (SPOILERS BELOW!)

  • Leo goes back and murders those bear cubs too.
  • Margot Robbie in a bubble bath explaining market fluctuations in the pelt and fur trade.
  • That one weird warm day.
  • The scene where Leo turns directly to camera and says, “Good grief! Talk about a bad vacation!”
  • Additional shots of trees and the sky and shit.
  • When the wandering geologist showed up to point out some cool facts about the mountain faces.
  • Several weeks worth of footage of winterizing canoes.
  • The sentient beard sequence.
  • 20 extra minutes of people peeling off dirty shirts.
  • Hardy and DiCaprio’s characters meeting an actual ugly person and curiously poking him for 20 minutes.
  • The final scene where Leo says, “Boy, this really was a revenant, huh?”
  • Fitzgerald’s family back home being like “he’s super violent I hope he doesn’t come back”
  • A scene where the bear can talk and it delivers 10 minutes of bear puns, such as “Can you bear this?” and “I’m bear-ly holding on here!”
  • A minion gets his dick stuck in a zipper.
